Barlow Family – Part 2
Yes, I know I suck…
Wow, I’m terrible at updating this thing. I wouldn’t blame anyone for having forgotten about me! If there is anyone still out there who occasionaly checks back, thank you for being loyal
Hopefully I’ll find some real time after the holidays to get my back log of posts up and finally have some time to forget about holiday cards and focus on some personal work, family time and exercise! I wanted to post some photos from a huge project I started in Feb. The challenge was to photograph 5 families (5 siblings) and put all the photos together in one album for their mother’s 70th birthday gift. It was an amazing project and so fulfilling to see the look and surprise on her face when she finally recieved the album. So, here is part ONE – The fabulous and gorgeous Barlow Family. Shot with Mamiya 645af, fuji 400h, 80mm lens.
If I don’t make another post before the holidays, I hope everyone has a fabulous Christmas filled with joy and laughter!

Jeff Crosby – Solo Debut
Literally taken in my backyard for promoting his debut single album… this guy is crazy talented. Check him out HERE. Previously the lead singer for THIS group, he was ready to move on to the next step in his creative ventures. Make sure to keep your eye on this guy because someday he is going to be famous!
Taken this last fall.

Using one of my husbands projects at the time as a backdrop.

Ozzy fella decided it was time he was included in the process…

Jade
Just a couple from little miss Jade’s shoot. I’ve been photographing this girl since she was just a couple months old and she is by far one of my, if not THE, toughest customers. She is one serious little pumpkin and she makes me work for it EVERY time!

First Holga Images
I am fully aware that I get a big fat F for FAILING when it comes to updating this blog and I hope that people will still occassionally check in to see my increasingly infreqent posts! I have a lot of stuff I want to post that I’ve taken this past year and I’m trying to get better at creating time to do this… so bear with me!
These are some shots from my first try at a Holga camera. Again, since I’m pitifully late with posts, these were taken back in Feb 2010. I love how you never know what your going to get with these cameras (the double exposure was completely unintentional) and I even enjoy the occasional light leaks.

Amira’s Bat Mitzvah
I love my job! I seriously love my job! I get the opportunity to work with some of the greatest families, some wonderful vendors and I get to take photos for a living. There’s nothing more fun than a great family, a brilliantly decorated venue and a pink themed Bat Mitvah.

Fish Lake, Utah
Every year my husbands family rents a big cabin and we spend the week here enjoying each others company, fishing, walking the trails and of course, eating copious amounts of food and snacks. It’s been a tradition in his family for many years to visit this beautiful place, but the family has decided to branch out and visit some new locations. So, since this was our last visit to Fish Lake for a while (which was back in August), I wanted to capture the memories, beauty and even some of the quirks of this place.

Not a trophy fish, but the only one caught that day.
I saw such an abundance of wildlife. The deer (hidden in the aspen trees) and I stared at each other for quite a while before it finally ran off. And, it’s hard to see, but the deer on the shore has a baby in tow.
I would have to say that this trip ranks, as the absolute most amazing skies that left me in awe of nature and our last night there topped the list. We first had a full, double rainbow (which the pictures give absolutely NO justice to) that was the most brilliant and largest rainbow I have ever seen. This was followed by such a brilliant and glowing sky, so full of color, that it was humbling. The glowing light was bathing everything; bathing me in a warm blanket of light. Again, the photos just cannot do justice. Because of the high elevation of Fish Lake, the clouds were so much closer than I’ve ever observed and I honestly felt like I was looking up at heaven… indescribable… spiritual.

My little witchy poo
I know we are well past Halloween, but I just recently got these negs back from the lab. It’s so dang hard to get shots of this nugget! She is constantly on the move and of course, she doesn’t want to behave for my camera. Can you tell she’s getting ready to stand up in the shot on the left? Nonetheless, I got a couple cute shots to keep in the archives

On another note, a huge congrats to my cousins who came into town for a day to finalize their adoption to this sweet little angel.
